Mixed methods

Mixed methods research typically refers to the combination of qualitative and quantitative or visual data collection methods rather than the use of different data collection methods within any of these overarching types.

I have joined forces with quantitative researcher, Dr. Karen Kobayashi, to publish on quantitative and qualitative intersectionality approaches, which we also pursued in our scoping review publication. My work on quality of life in Assisted Living with Dr. Atiya Mahmood used environmental audits and descriptive statistics alongside focus groups. The Lived Experiences project has employed Photovoice to augment our narrative life story interviews.
