Sharon Koehn Research Consulting
I am a medical anthropologist and social gerontologist with a long track record of community-engaged research devoted to advancing society’s ability to address inequities experienced by marginalized populations, particularly in the areas of aging, health and health care access. I have secured numerous grants to conduct and supervise qualitative and mixed methods research projects that yield both scholarly and applied outputs employing strategies such as photovoice, World Café, language learning curricula and YouTube videos. I am passionate about thinking critically, writing clearly and effectively, interviewing compassionately, and teaching attentively.
Through applied research, I strive to positively influence community health and wellbeing and/or prepare others to make decisions or deliver services to this end.
